Canon EOS 800D won't power on with a charged battery

My Canon EOS 800D will not power on with my battery installed, even though the charger shows the battery as fully charged. There is no response from the camera at all. A service center tested the camera with another battery and it worked normally. They also briefly charged my battery on a different charger, and then the camera worked for a few hours until it shut down. After charging that same battery again on my own charger, the camera would not turn on at all. I have also tried several third-party batteries that previously worked, and now they show the same no-power behavior after being charged on my charger. Could this be a battery issue, dirty contacts, or is the charger more likely at fault?

If the camera works with another battery (which is what they demonstrated at the store) then get a new battery. Batteries are consumables, replace them when they fail or even before.
There are many aftermarket brands that are somewhat less expensive than Canon but are just as good and work well with Canon cameras and chargers.

The camera body is probably fine, because it powers on normally with a different battery. The strongest clue is that batteries charged on another charger work, but the same batteries fail after being charged on your charger. That points to a faulty charger more than a camera electronics fault.
Also check the battery and camera contacts for dirt or oxidation. If they look discolored, gently clean them. If you have a multimeter, a healthy LP-E17-type battery should measure about 7.2V.
So the likely causes, in order, are:
- Faulty charger not actually charging the battery correctly
- Failed battery/batteries
- Dirty or oxidized contacts
Since multiple batteries show the same behavior after using your charger, replacing or testing the charger should be your next step.
