In Nikon ViewNX 2, can I export or save the custom settings I use in the Adjustments Palette so I can reuse them later on other images?

With all 3 Develop edit panes, and the Adjust edit pane, closed, control-click in the space beneath the closed Adjust pane. You will see a contextual menu appear, where you can save (and load) settings.
This copies settings from all Develop and Adjust panes, but you can save/copy after editing only those settings that you want to apply later.

For ViewNX 2, the community consensus is essentially no: it does not provide a built-in way to export or save general edit settings from the Adjustments Palette for reuse, aside from Picture Control profiles.
One reply described saving settings via a contextual menu, but that applies to Capture NX2, not ViewNX 2. Since these are different Nikon programs, that method does not answer the ViewNX 2 question.
A workaround mentioned was using external scripts to copy Nikon adjustment data to a cache file and then apply it back to other files in batch, but that is not a native ViewNX 2 export feature.
