The DSC-T200 includes an external wall charger for its proprietary battery. Some Sony cameras can charge the battery while it is still in the camera over a computer USB connection. Does the DSC-T200 support USB charging, or must the battery be removed and charged only in the supplied charger?

According to Page 35 of the manual, the battery can only be charged in the charger, not in the camera.
(note: the linked manual says DSCT70.pdf in the link, but the manual covers 3 versions including the T200).

No. According to the camera manual, the DSC-T200’s battery is charged only in the external battery charger, not while installed in the camera over USB. So a computer’s USB port will not charge the battery in this model.
