Can Lightroom 5 CC show Live View when tethering a Nikon D810?

I’m tethering a Nikon D810 to a laptop and importing into Lightroom 5 CC. Capture works, but I can’t enable Live View from Lightroom. I’d like to use Live View while tethered so I can zoom in and check focus more precisely. Is this supported in Lightroom for the D810, or do I need different software?

Lightroom don't support tethering with live view for Nikon cameras. If you want to use tethering with live view you need a another application like Camera Control Pro, ControlMyNikon or a freeware digiCamControl or any similar application.
You can use external application with lightroom with no problem if you activate the Auto Import feature

Lightroom 5 can support tethered capture with the Nikon D810, but Lightroom itself does not provide Live View control for Nikon tethering. So even if your D810 is recognized, you should not expect Live View inside Lightroom.
Also, the D810 requires at least Lightroom 5.7 for tethered support, so if you’re on an earlier 5.x version, update first.
