Can I use a battery and charger bought in India with a Canon EOS 600D/T3i from the US?

I have a Canon EOS 600D/T3i that was purchased in the US, but the battery and charger are missing. I live in India and want to buy replacements locally from Canon India. Will a battery and charger sold in India work properly with a US-bought 600D/T3i? I’m mainly concerned about the mains voltage difference between India (220V) and the US (110V).

In US you get different power adapter to convert voltage and in India another. So it`s completely safe to get camera in one country and battery and charger in another.

Yes. The camera body does not care which country the battery and charger were purchased in, as long as they are the correct model for the Canon EOS 600D/T3i. A battery and charger bought in India should work fine with a US-purchased camera.

The mains voltage difference is usually not a problem because camera chargers are commonly designed to handle a wide input voltage range; at most, you may need the correct wall plug or power cord for your country. Since your original battery and charger are missing, buying the proper local replacements from Canon India is the simplest solution.

Just make sure you buy the correct battery and matching charger for the 600D/T3i, and if you want to be certain, Canon India can confirm the exact compatible models.
