I’m using a Fujifilm X10 and want to browse its .RAF raw files in Finder on my Mac without opening each one individually in Photoshop CS6. Is Finder/macOS able to show previews for these files, or do I need third-party software?

Sorry, but no, not directly - but you can try free beta of FastRawViewer, http://www.fastrawviewer.com/ and send the selected ones to Photoshop.

Finder preview support for Fujifilm X10 .RAF files depends on macOS raw compatibility, and from the answers provided it appears there isn’t reliable direct Finder preview support in this case. Photoshop CS6 can open the files, but that doesn’t automatically mean Finder can generate thumbnails or Quick Look previews.
A couple of alternatives mentioned are:
- FastRawViewer for quickly browsing and culling raw files.
- Darktable as a free open-source option to view and edit RAF files.
One answer also notes Fuji documentation mentioning support with X10 firmware 1.03 or later on OS X 10.7, but not clearly for other macOS versions. So if you want Finder previews specifically, compatibility may depend on both your camera firmware and your macOS version.
If Finder still doesn’t show previews, using a dedicated raw browser is the practical solution.
