Can Darktable automatically apply basic RAW corrections to many photos?

I’m used to Lightroom’s Auto button for quick RAW adjustments. In Darktable, is there a similar way to get a fast, decent starting point for a large batch of photos, such as vacation images, without manually editing each one?

Just add a style preset with:
exposure: autowhite balance: camera (or spot - whole image)sharpen: defaultsbase curve: defaults
With that my severely underexposed pictures will look nice out of the box. (I always use my native ISO 200, and will rather use Darktable to make them light than to do it destructively using ISO in-camera).
This is basically what the other answers said without saying it. It works.

Darktable does not have a single Lightroom-style global “auto optimize” button for all settings. However, you can get a similar batch workflow by using:
- module auto options where available, such as Exposure: Auto
- styles, which save a set of edits and can be applied to many images in Lighttable
- presets, which can auto-apply module settings based on camera/lens/ISO rules
- copy/paste history stack from one edited image to similar images
A practical approach is to edit one representative photo, then save those settings as a style and apply it to the whole batch. A simple starter style could include things like auto exposure, camera white balance, sharpening defaults, and the default base curve.
If you want the quickest fully automatic look, you can also use the camera-generated JPEGs instead of processing every RAW file. But for RAWs in Darktable, styles and auto-enabled modules are the closest equivalent to Lightroom’s Auto workflow.
