Can a Canon 600D create this color effect in-camera, or is it done in editing?

I saw a video with a strong stylized color look and want to achieve similar colors in photos or video. Can the Canon 600D do this effect by itself, or is this usually created later in software such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, or After Effects?

It looks like those colours have been achieved using a kind of cross-processing. However if you look at the video description you'll see that the video has been processed with Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects CS5. The Canon 600D doesn't have that kind of processing built in.

That look is most likely created in post-processing, not built into the Canon 600D. The color style resembles a cross-processed or heavily graded look. Based on the information provided, the video was processed in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects CS5, which is where the color treatment was added.
So, with a 600D you can record the photo or video, but to get that same stylized color result you would usually edit afterward in software. For still photos, that would typically mean Lightroom or Photoshop; for video, Premiere or After Effects.
