Hopatcong State Park
In the Landing section at 260 Lakeside Blvd, on the southwest shore of Lake Hopatcong, the largest lake in New Jersey. The park keeps remains of the Morris Canal and a Scotch turbine that once powered an inclined plane.
Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum
Inside Hopatcong State Park, in the stone lock tender's house built around 1825 for Lock 67, where canal boats entered and left the lake.
Morris Canal Park, Ledgewood
Just off Main Street near Routes 46 and 10. You can see the remains of Inclined Planes 2 and 3 East, a long dry stretch of canal bed and a basin that still holds water.
King Store, Ledgewood
Two-story stone store from 1827 on Main Street, now a museum run by the Roxbury Historic Trust. Canal Street next to it follows the old Morris Canal route.
Port Morris, in the township, was the starting point of the Lackawanna Cut-Off, the railroad line built from 1908 to 1911.
