New Jersey's largest lake, about nine miles long and four square miles, with more than 50 miles of shoreline. It was made by damming the Musconetcong River, which joined Great Pond and Little Pond.

Hopatcong State Park
A short drive south in Landing. Beach, boat ramp and Morris Canal remains on the lake's southwest shore, with the historical museum in the old lock tender's house.
