CP1500 v CP1300

With the release of the new CP1500, Canon has made some improvements on the CP1300 model.

The small, lightweight CP1500 can print 4"x6" photos in 47 seconds and card size (2.1" x 3") in 39 seconds. And no waiting for ink to dry, their dye sublimation process ensures finger-print free photos.

New 3.5" LCD Screen

The Selphy CP1500 has a 3.5 inch LCD screen compared to the CP1300's 3.2 inch screen. The CP1500's 3.5" LCD allows you to view, edit, and add filter effects like sepia, or B/W to the images you want to print.

New finishing options!

Most dye-sub printers can only produce glossy prints (because the final overcoat layer is glossy), but Canon has learned how to change the texture of the final print so that you can choose from glossy, semi-gloss and satin finishes. Additionally you can Print patterns into the overcoat layer to give your images a subtle pop of texture.

New QR Code Print

The SELPHY CP1500 allows you to add a QR code to the image to direct people to a web link, great for getting people to a wedding or other event website.

100 Year Prints

Both the CP1500 and the CP1300 printers boast prints that are all made to last up to 100 years and are even water resistant. Based on accelerated testing by Canon in dark storage under controlled temperature, humidity and gas conditions, simulating storage in an album with plastic sleeves. Canon cannot guarantee the longevity of prints; results may vary depending on printed image, display/storage conditions, and environmental factors.
