Condition: Good

The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 Digital Camera boasts high-quality imaging capabilities that are characteristic of the Sony's Alpha mirrorless line-up, with the ease of point-and-shoot cameras. Its integrated professional 20× optical G-lens lets you capture images and videos from both wide-angle and close-up. The Exmor CMOS image sensor offers 9 MP still images and 1080p HD video recording. In the continuous shooting mode, the camera can capture 10 frames per second. Line up the camera for the shot using the 3-inch tilting LCD. The handheld twilight mode makes it easy to capture long-exposure shots without a tripod. An NP-FH50 Li-ion battery pack powers this Sony digital camera.

Optics and Focus

The Cybershot DSC-HX1 has a built-in Sony G-lens that offers 20× optical zoom with its variable 35mm-equivalent focal range of 28–560mm. It has 13 elements arranged in 10 groups. Also, an aspherical and ED element are part of the lens design to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations. You can vary the aperture from f/2.8 to f/8. The camera has a minimum focus range of 0.99 cm at a wide focal length and 149.96 cm on the tele-macro setting. When shooting moving subjects, the 9-point autofocus system comes into action to maintain the focus point. The optical image stabilization reduces the appearance of camera shakes. You may increase the mechanical shutter speed to 1/4000th of a second for capturing crisp stills of moving objects.

Sensor and Screen

The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 digital camera renders high-quality imagery using the 1/2.4-inch CMOS sensor. It ensures accurate color rendering along with improved sensitivity in low light. The 3.0-inch Clear Photo LCD tilts 90° upward and downward to support high- and low-angle shooting. Also, the anti-reflective coating ensures clarity when viewing the screen in bright conditions.

Image and Video

The Cybershot DSC-HX1 from Sony captures 9 MP still photos with a maximum resolution of 3456×2592 pixels in the JPEG format. Shoot videos in 1080p with the movie mode. The continuous shooting mode offers a burst rate of 10 images per second. Create stunning ultra-wide-angle photos with Sweep Panorama, which requires you to press the shutter release button and sweep horizontally or vertically to capture multiple photos. The handheld Twilight Mode takes six consecutive shots in less than a second, where it keeps the moving part of the image constant while superimposing the rest of the composition.

Other Features

This Sony digital camera has a built-in flash with a maximum effective range 0.98–30.18 feet on wide settings and 4.92–16.73 feet on telephoto settings. During the video recording, the integrated microphone captures audio over a stereo channel. You can display the recorded media on large HDTVs by connecting them via the HDMI port. The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 comes with an NP-FH50 Li-ion battery pack.
