The Fujica DL-100 Date Point and Shoot Camera features automatic exposure control, film loading, and rewind to simplify your photography. This camera has the Fujinon 38 mm f/2.8 lens incorporated into its design, which includes 4 optical elements in 4 groups. The camera automatically sets the speed for ASA 100 and 400 Fuji films. This camera uses the CdS cell exposure metering to provide a working range of EV 6 to EV 17 with an ISO 100 film. The programmed electronic shutter offers a speed range of 1/8th to 1/500th of a second. The built-in flash has a guide number of 12 m and effective flash range of 0.9 to 4 m at ISO 100. The camera requires two penlight batteries to power its electronic functions.
Optics and Focus
The camera comes with the Fujinon 38 mm f/2.8 lens integrated into its design. This wide-angle prime lens has a built-in UV filter that ensures image saturation and clarity. The lens has a focusing range of 0.9 m to infinity. With the CdS-cell exposure metering, you get a working range of EV6 to EV17 for an ASA 100 film. You can manually set the film speed at 50, 100, 200, and 400. This camera automatically makes adjustments in the film speed for ASA 100 and 400 Fuji films. The programmed electronic shutter varies its speed from 1/8th to 1/500th of a second automatically depending on the amount of light in the scene.
Sensor and Screen
The bright frame optical viewfinder gives a 0.5× magnified view of the scene. It also covers 85% of the frame area and has parallax correction marks to assist you when taking close-up shots. When using the viewfinder, you can see camera-shake warning lamp light up if there the frame is not stable. The viewfinder also shows the autofocus frame and distance indicators, film advance and rewind conformation lamp, and the flash ready indicator.
Image and Video
The camera works on a cartridge-packed 35mm roll film. You can feed the roll to the camera by opening the back and simply dropping the roll inside. The camera then automatically advances the film into position for taking the first shot. After each shot, the camera automatically winds the film. At the end of the film roll, the camera rewinds the film all by itself.
Other Features
The built-in flash comes with a guide number of 12 m for an ISO 100 film. It allows you to take pictures in dim light within the range of 0.9 m to 4 m. The flash range extends to 6 m if you use an ASA 400 film. With new batteries, the flash offers a recycle time of 7 seconds. You can also use the flashmatic, which is an auto-flash function, to generate a fill flash. The shutter release delay can be delayed to 10 seconds by using the self-timer. This camera is operated by using two AM3 or SUM-3 penlight batteries.
