The AF 45mm f/2.8 features a stepping motor, which provides you with high-speed, accurate autofocusing, which is noticeably quiet, even while using face/eye detection AF or video shooting. Its rounded seven-blade diaphragm plays a large roll regarding the smooth bokeh effects.
