The Nikon 8 x 42 Monarch 5 Binocular (Black) allows you to view your scenery with bright & clear, high-contrast viewing. The Monarch 5 features extra-low dispersion glass elements, & anti-reflection, fully multi-coated optics to achieve this view. Highly reflective dielectric-coated, as well as phase-corrected, roof prisms also enable a bright & clear view, with accurate color rendition. This model of Monarch 5 has an 8x magnification factor, allowing you to bring your subjects up close. Its ability to remove noticable hand shake, which is ften associated with high power optics, allows for stable viewing. The 42mm objectives increase its ability to gather light, further improving your view. The Monarch 5 can be used even in challenging light, such as pre-dawn, or late evening hours, as well as foggy & cloudy weather. A long eye relief also allows for comfort while in use.
The Monarch 5's optical performance is complimented by its physical construction, which is durable & comfortable to use. The chassis is a lightweight & durable, reinforced polycarbonate, & is protected by rubberized armor with indented hand rests for a secure grip. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled, & O-ring sealed for waterproof capabilities, as well as internal fogging due to temperature variations. An ocular rainguard is featured over the eyecups to prevent rain from filling them when hanging around your neck. The included objective lens caps are tethered to keep them safe.
