Overview

THIS IS A USED ITEM
IMAGES ARE FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY
Condition: Good

The Nikon D5300 DSLR camera produces high-resolution images along with Full HD videos at 60 fps. This DSLR camera can be fitted with Nikon F-mount lenses. It is equipped with a 24.2 MP DX-Format CMOS sensor that offers high-color sensitivity in any lighting condition. Thanks to the EXPEED 4 image processor, the camera performance is increased to support the 1080p recording and 5 fps continuous shooting. Use the 1037K-dot vari-angle LCD or optical viewfinder to compose the shot. The built-in flash allows you to take well-illuminated photos at night or in dim light. This Nikon DSLR also includes Active D-Lighting and in-camera HDR to enhance your image capture experience. You can send images to smartphones with the built-in Wi-Fi or tag your location with the integrated GPS.

Optics and Focus

The Nikon 5300 uses three metering modes, namely 3D color matrix metering, center-weighted average metering, and spot metering. You can use the camera's advanced Multi-CAM 4800DX AF sensor module that includes 39 phase-detection points, of which 9 and 21 points are also selectable. The ISO sensitivity of this camera ranges from 100-12800, which can be extended to 25600. Both mechanical and electronic shutters have a maximum speed limit of 1/4000th of a second.

Screen and Sensor

This Nikon DSLR camera works on a 24.2 MP DX-Format CMOS sensor that ensures high-resolution images with very little grain. Additionally, the omission of a low-pass filter from camera design enhances sharpness. The pentaprism optical viewfinder offers a bright view of the scene in 0.82× magnification and covers 95% of the screen area. With the 3.2-inch LCD screen, you get a live view of the scene in 1037K-dot resolution. It also provides 170° diagonal angle of view and can be tilted for using the camera from a high or low angle. The LCD screen covers 100% of the frame area.

Image and Video

The Nikon D5300 DSLR can produce 24 MP images with a maximum resolution of 6000×4000 dpi in JPEG and RAW formats. With the inclusion of the EXPEED 4 image processor, the camera can shoot 1080p videos at 60 fps and take burst images at 5 fps in the continuous-shooting mode. The intelligent Scene Recognition System analyzes the current brightness, contrast, subject distance and color to determine the correct exposure. Various picture control modes like Landscape and Monochrome allow you to set pre-defined looks for the imagery. The built-in HDR and Active D-Lighting modes preserve the image highlight and shadow details to offer a wide dynamic range.

Other Features

The built-in flash has a guide number of 13 m at ISO 100 and adjustable flash compensation of -3 EV to +1 EV. You can also mount an external flash to the hot shoe. Both built-in and external flash can be synchronized with the shutter at up to 1/200th of a second. The incorporated Wi-Fi and GPS functions allow you to send images to smartphones and tag your geolocation to the photos respectively. You can also trigger the camera remotely or use the smartphone screen as a camera monitor. The self-timer delays the shutter release at 2, 5, 10, and 20 seconds. The Nikon camera is powered by an EN-EL14a Li-ion battery.
