The Nikon D3400 DSLR is the brand's flagship entry-level camera featuring, Multi-CAM 1000 AF sensor, and SnapBridge Bluetooth connectivity. It accepts Nikon F-mount lenses on the front thread. The camera has 24.2MP CMOS sensor that works with the EXPEED 4 processor to produce rich image quality even in low light. With the Nikon D3400, you can record Full HD videos at 60 fps. The 3.0-inch LCD monitor provides a viewing angle of 170°. Retain both highlight and shadow details when working in backlit scenes with the Active D-Lighting function. The camera has a built-in flash along with a hot shoe that attaches an external flash, LED lamp, or boom mic. This camera offers 1200 shots on a fully-charged EN-EL14a lithium-ion battery.
Optics and Focus

Image and Video
This Nikon D3400 DSLR takes 12-bit images in JPEG and RAW format with a maximum resolution of 6000×4000. In video mode, the camera shoots 1080p videos at a frame rate of 60 fps. The continuous shooting mode captures images at 5 fps. There are various Picture Control modes such as Portrait and Monochrome that make you set a pre-defined look to the image. The Scene Auto Selector recognizes the subject and shooting scenario and selects appropriate scene mode and exposure metering mode. You can also edit the camera recorded media in the camera.
Other Features
The SnapBridge Bluetooth connectivity allows you send captured images to smartphones and create a backup in Nikon Image Space. You can enable the Bluetooth Low Energy to transfers 2 MP images to your connected smartphone. Apart from the built-in flash, the camera accepts external flash units on its hot shoe mount.
