The Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens is ideal for photographers and indie filmmakers who are fond of working in low light. This lens is designed for Sony E-mount cameras and its optical design comprises 13 elements in 8 groups. There are three Special Low Dispersion glass elements and one molded glass aspherical element included in the lens construction to correct chromatic and spherical inconsistencies. The effects of ghosting and flare are reduced by the super multi-layer coating. Also, thanks to the Hyper Sonic Motor AF, the lens offers fast and accurate autofocus without making noise. The rounded 9-blade diaphragm opens wide up to f/1.4 to create a shallow depth of field with circular bokeh effect. Also, you may use this lens in extremely low or high temperatures as it is made of a Thermally Stable Composite material. Moreover, the brass mount of this Sigma lens has a rubber sealing that prevents dust and moisture from entering.
