Its apochromatic optical design comprises 11 elements in 8 groups that have two Extraordinary Low Dispersion elements among the rest to ensure a reduction in chromatic aberrations and color fringing. The super multi-layer coating suppresses the effects of ghosting and lens flare. With the Hyper Sonic Motor AF system, the lens provides a precise, fast, and accurate autofocus. Moreover, the internal focusing maintains the overall barrel length to ensure controlled handling. The 9-blade diaphragm creates a rounded bokeh in the blurred background. You can use 46mm filters with the rear drop-in slot. The rotating tripod collar offers stability when mounted to a stable base.
