The Sigma 18–200 f/3.5–6.3 DC OS Lens can capture wide-angle as well as zoomed-in shots efficiently. This lens is meant for Nikon F-mount cameras and is made with 18 elements in 13 groups. The optical construction of the lens includes two SLD and two hybrid aspherical elements that reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations. An anti-reflection coating is applied on the lens elements to minimize ghosting and lens flare. The micro-type ultrasonic motor helps in quick and near-silent focus on an object that may be as close as 17.7 inches away. With the seven-blade diaphragm, the lens can create an almost round bokeh in the image background. The optical image stabilizer of the lens reduces camera shakes when shooting handheld. A zoom lock is incorporated into the design to prevent zoom creep. This Sigma lens accepts 72mm circular filters on the front thread.
