overview
Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U is the world's first multi-function, multi-brand wireless triggering light meter. It is the first of its kind capable of measuring flash duration and brief flash bursts like you find from HSS (High Speed Sync) for precision flash control.
The Sekonic L-858D-U is kitted with the RT-EL/PX transmitter module. The RT-EL/PX is a user-replaceable radio module that fits neatly next to the batteries in the SPEEDMASTER L-858D Light Meter.
This kit brings a fully integrated light metering workflow to Elinchrom Skyport & Phottix Strato II users, making it possible for them to measure effortlessly, control, and analyze the characteristics of flash like never before. The Sekonic RT-EL/PX simplifies the process of lighting a portrait, analyzing a scene and helping you quickly dial in your lighting recipe to get to your final image with exacting precision.
Dual Radio Compatibility
The L-858D with the RT-EL/PX transmitter module enables you to call upon all 20 Elinchrom Channels (20 Speed & 20 Normal) and 4 Groups, while in Phottix mode you can trigger channels (1-4) and groups (A,B,C,D) to fire any flash or Studio strobe connected to a Phottix Strato, Strato II, Ares II, or Atlas II receiver as well as a Phottix Mitros+ flash or an Indra 500/360TTL strobe set to Strato II receive function. When shooting, photographers can pick from various Phottix transmitters including the Strato II , Ares II , Odin or Odin II.
Next Level Flash Analysis
Elincrhom and Phottix users can more easily measure the percentage of flash in their images to maintain the desired mix of ambient and flash. Measure flash duration as well to know how much stopping power your lights have to freeze the splash from their favorite product shot, or the pose of a ballet dancer.
