overview
Meter light wirelessly from the camera with the Sekonic L-478DR-U-PX Meter, which comes with a Phottix ARES II trigger and receiver. The wireless transmitter has an integrated radio to command the 2.4 GHz Phottix Strato II system for simplifying the metering of ambient light and a flash strobe. It allows you to communicate with the included trigger and receiver for up to 492 feet. The meter can work in a light range of -2 to 22.9 EV at ISO 100. You can also use the meter with Canon cinema cameras by using the Cine and HD Cine video modes that let you select the frame rate, shutter angle, and ISO. The meter also works with a PC sync cord. Different operating functions such as memory recall and filter compensation are included to fulfill on-location light adjustment needs. The 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD ensures quick and convenient access to various settings. You can upgrade the firmware of the meter by connecting it to your system via the mini-USB port. As for the Phottix ARES II transmitter and receiver, they offer functionality to 16 channels and 4 groups. You can assign a digital ID code to the transmitter or receiver to avoid interference from other devices. The transmitter and receiver can be synchronized with the shutter at 1/250th of a second. The monochrome backlit LCD makes it easy to review and modify the settings.
