Great day at Rutgers today!
Thanks to Michael Downey and Sergio for providing invaluable lessons and a great lunch at Rutgers Scarlet & White game today! I rented a telephoto lens on Friday in Fairfield and got some great shots of the game! Picked up some good suggestions and tips from Michael and got some good shots of NFl Rutgers alum. Thanks, Diane

Cool Experience
This was a great time. Our instructor was Michael Downey. He shared his experiences and gave us a bunch of great shooting tips. Shooting on the field was a great experience. A bit overwhelming because of the activity and adrenaline. Once I settled down, I was fine. Came away with some very usable images. Shooting from the stands was good too. You just have to accept the fact that fan movement can cause you to lose a shot. One recommendation is to bring (borrow or rent, if needed ) glass that's f/4 or faster. I used a Sigma 150-500 f/5-6.3 and its FL was great, a faster f-stop would have allowed for use of a lower ISO range. Starting to save for next year and the Rutgers Team Photographer package already!
