Overview
The Peak Design Travel Tripod - Carbon Fiber is designed to feature a compact design, which is an ideal feature for traveling. The tripod itself weighs 2.8lbs, with a folded length of 15.5", making it idea for travel. The Peak Design Travel Tripod allows for you to open the 5 featured leg-sections, all at the same time, by releasing the aluminum leg locking cams at the same time. This feature is designed to provide a quick set up or break down of the tripod.
The extension of the legs, as well as the center column, allows the Travel Tripod to achieve a maximum height of 60", & a height of 51.245" with the center column down. For shots that are low to the ground, the Travel Tripod can reach a minimum height of 5.5", with its legs completely outward. The center column is also reversible, allowing your camera to barely be raised off of the ground.
The Peak Design Travel Tripod features a ball head, which assists with its compact design, by eliminating the need for levers or knobs. The ball head has an adjustment ring, which allows for omnidirectional movement, & locks into place with a locking ring, which is located above the adjustment ring. An arca-type quick release system is used, but is designed to also accept Peak Design's standard plates. The removal of the safety pin inside of the clamp, allows for arca-type L-brackets to also be compatible.
DSLR cameras that feature a large lens, weighing up to 20lbs, can be maintained securely by the tripod. Smartphones are also adaptable by the removal of the center column's weight hook, & deploying the mobile mount.
