Overview

Featuring intuitive controls and a host of innovative features, the Panasonic HC-V380K Full HD Camcorder offers a sense of fun and creativity to traditional camcorders. It includes a wireless multi-camera function that records two additional camera angles with a picture-in-picture mode. The camcorder features a 28mm wide-angle lens with a 50x optical zoom and 90x intelligent zoom. It also includes 5-axis image stabilization and a level shot function that produces clear, level, and more stable looking handheld filming.

Optics and Focus

The HC-V380K camcorder features a 28mm wide-angle lens that allows you to frame more people and more of the background, even when working in tight spaces. Even when you shoot from up close, the camcorder frames your subject properly so its microphone can get closer to the action for better audio pickup. The lens has excellent zooming capabilities with a 50x optical zoom that can be increased to 90x with the Intelligent Zoom Function. The Intelligent Zoom Function makes use of digital zoom and advanced image upscaling technology to provide crisper pictures and video. To ensure blur-free images when working at higher zoom levels, the camcorder is fitted with a 5-axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilization. The OIS works on five axes i.e. pan, tilt, roll, horizontal, and vertical directions. The camcorder features a Level Shot mode that automatically detects and corrects tilting in images.

Sensor and Screen

The camcorder has a 2.51 megapixel, 1/5.8-inch MOS sensor that offers image quality comparable to a CCD sensor. It provides excellent light sensitivity of a CCD sensor at low power requirements of a CMOS sensor, giving you the best of both worlds. The HC-V380K has a 3-inch LCD touchscreen with a pixel count of 460,800.

Image and Video

Click stunning still images with the HC-V380K as it offers a maximum image resolution of 4224 x 2376 pixels. The camcorder can record both MP4 and AVCHD videos at full HD 1080p resolution and at 60 frames per second. It also includes creative control effects that allow you to spice up your videos and get creative with the output. The effects included are miniature, 8mm movie, silent movie, and time lapse recording.

Other Features

The Panasonic HC-V380K Full HD Camcorder HC-V380K features Wi-Fi connectivity, and it can be paired with compatible smartphones and tablets. With Wi-Fi connected, you can use the Panasonic Image app to control the camcorder remotely and view photos, videos, or even upload your content to social media. Panasonic also offers a USTREAM video service wherein you can broadcast full HD videos in real time to friends and family all over the world. The camcorder also includes a Baby Monitor feature that lets you check in on a sleeping baby from anywhere, as long as a mobile device is synced. It also features a unique Wireless Multi-Camera mode that enables picture-in-picture recording via mobile devices connected through Wi-Fi. You can pair up to three devices simultaneously and use two to record picture-in-picture images. This feature is extremely useful in capturing multiple angles and viewpoints at once.
