Overview
The Panasonic 10-25mm f/1.7 Leica DG Vario-Summilux Lens is specially designed for mirrorless Micro Four Thirds mount cameras, and provides a bright F/1.7 aperture throughout the entire 20-50mm (35mm Camera Equivalent) zoom range. It is designed to provide exceptionally high optical performance, and meets the LEICA Camera AG Strict Quality Standards. This lens is suitable for both video recording and photography, and is designed to meet the needs of professional photographers and videographers.
The 10-25mm f/1.7 Leica DG Vario-Summilux Lens features 17 elements in 12 groups, as well as 3 aspherical lenses, and four extra-low dispersion lenses, which are used to suppress chromatic aberration. The aspherical lenses also correct spherical aberration and distortion, providing a high resolution performance. Despite its optimum design, the lens features a compact physical design as well.
The 10-25mm f/1.7 Leica DG Vario-Summilux Lens' compatibility with a maximum 240fps high-speed sensor provides high-speed performance, highly precise autofocusing, & enables the lens to excel in its video recording performance. An inner focus drive system provides a silent operation, while the stepless "de-clicked" aperture ring, as well as the micro-step drive system, assist the camera in smoothly catching up to lighting changes when zooming/panning. The optical design provides barycentric stability, which minimizes image shifts that can occur during zooming. A featured Focus Clutch Mechanism provides you with instant AF/MF switching, as well as accurate manual focusing. The lens excels in video recording performance, and includes a mechanism that is designed to suppress focus breathing, which tends to be a common, fatal, problem of all interchangeable lenses that are designed for still image photography.
