OVERVIEW
The Marumi EXUS ND100000 (5.0) filter is designed to observe and shoot the sun or any similar subject that emits enormous amounts of light.
Why Use an ND Filter
If you've experienced over exposed images while shooting under too-bright of sunlight conditions or when shooting a highly reflective surface - an ND Filter can help. It reduced the amount of light entering the lens without affecting the color of the image and maintains the appropriate exposure under bright light conditions.
This is also applicable when you are looking to shoot with slower shutter speeds to create a "blurred" look whether in photos or videos. Since the light volume is reduced you can intentionally control the shutter speed and f-stop values for a more dynamic effect.
