The D-XLR is specially designed for Deity V-Series mics to trigger their Smart 3.5mm TRRS outputs with bias power from a standard XLR input.
The D-XLR enables you to convert your video microphones into XLR microphones. This allows you to run mics like the Deity V.Lav and D3 Pro directly into an XLR mixer or USB sound card.
The V.Lav typically runs off 3V bias power supplied by a DSLR, laptop, or mobile phone. The D-XLR can create that same 3V bias “plug-in power” when you supply it with 48V phantom power. The D-XLR uses active circuitry to make the conversion and won’t affect your sound quality.
We developed the D-XLR originally for the V-Mic D3 Pro so you could take your on-camera microphone off your camera and put it on a boom pole. The D-XLR mount is designed to fit perfectly into the Rycote pistol grip shockmount. The yellow clip was added so you could mount it onto other objects if need be.
