Zhiyun X100 RGB Pro pairs 100W RGB lighting with a 384g fixture. See its power options, light-shaping tools and companion lights.

A 100W RGB light with a small footprint
The Zhiyun X100 RGB Pro is a portable RGB LED light with a 100W maximum rating. It provides adjustable white light and colored light in a fixture measuring 5.69 x 3.7 x 1.42 inches and weighing 384 g. Those dimensions matter when fitting a light into a small shooting space or packing equipment for location work.
The weight applies to the fixture, not a complete lighting setup with power and support. Likewise, 100W is a power rating, not a measurement of illumination at the subject. Working distance and the modifier used still affect what reaches the scene. The X100 RGB Pro is $349 and in stock at Unique Photo.
2500 to 10,000K white light, plus RGB color
The color-temperature range runs from 2500 to 10,000K. The lower end gives warmer white light; the upper end gives cooler white light. That adjustment is useful for bringing a light closer to the appearance of existing room lighting, or deliberately making a subject look warmer or cooler than the surroundings.
RGB capability serves a different purpose. It allows colored lighting for a background or an accent without treating color temperature as a substitute for color. A product video might use white light on the product and a colored background light to separate it visually.
Zhiyun rates CRI at 95. CRI describes color rendering against a reference light, rather than brightness. Dimming is available through the built-in control or an app. Bluetooth Mesh provides remote control, useful when the fixture is positioned out of easy reach.
Power choices and fixture mounting
Zhiyun lists three power options: a grip battery, a DC adapter and 100W PD fast charging. An AC-to-DC adapter is included. For a fixed-position interview or tabletop setup, adapter power avoids making the session dependent on a battery. The grip-battery option is relevant when access to an outlet would dictate an inconvenient light position.
The fixture has two 1/4"-20 female threads for mounting to compatible support hardware. A compact body still needs secure support, especially once a modifier is attached. Plan the support and power arrangement along with the light position; the fixture dimensions alone do not describe the space occupied by the working setup.
Mini Lens Reflector, barn doors and 40D Softbox
Zhiyun lists a modifier ecosystem that includes a Mini Lens Reflector, barn doors and a 40D Softbox. These address different lighting problems. A reflector helps direct the light. Barn doors help restrict spill into areas that should stay darker, such as a nearby wall or part of a background.
A softbox increases the apparent size of the source relative to the bare fixture. Used close to a subject, a larger apparent source can soften shadow edges. Moving it farther away changes that relationship, so attaching a softbox is not the whole recipe for soft light.
Choose the modifier around the job. A colored background accent may need spill control more than softer shadows. A close portrait or tabletop subject may benefit more from the softbox.
Who the X100 RGB Pro suits
The X100 RGB Pro makes sense for video creators who need both white and colored light but have limited room for the fixture. Its 384 g body is relevant to a traveling kit, while remote control is useful for a light placed behind a subject or within a tabletop arrangement. It can also fill a dedicated color-lighting role alongside a separate white-light source.
If the work only calls for adjustable white light, consider a bi-color fixture instead. RGB capability does not solve a problem that never comes up. For a setup centered on Bowens S modifiers or a higher power rating, the G200 below is a more direct match. Anyone choosing a light primarily by subject illumination should not treat the X100 RGB Pro's 100W rating as a brightness measurement.
Companion lights and lower-priced alternatives
The Zhiyun MOLUS G200 Bi-Color LED Monolight is $299 and in stock. It is a separate AC-powered fixture with a 200W rating and a 320W MAX Extreme Mode. Its white-light range is 2700–6500K, and it uses a Bowens S modifier mount. It could handle the white-light position while the X100 RGB Pro supplies color elsewhere in the scene. The higher wattage does not establish a specific brightness ratio between them.
The Zhiyun MOLUS X100 Bi-Color Pocket COB Monolight - Combo is $269 and in stock. It offers 100W output, 0–100% brightness adjustment and a ZY modifier mount, with Bluetooth remote control. It is a lower-priced bi-color alternative when RGB is unnecessary, or a companion for a position that only needs white light.
The Zhiyun X100 RGB is $230 and in stock. It shares the Pro's listed 100W maximum, 2500 to 10,000K range and 384 g fixture weight. It also lists Bluetooth Mesh remote control and the Mini Lens Reflector, barn doors and 40D Softbox ecosystem. It is another RGB fixture to consider for a separate lighting position, not an accessory that attaches to the Pro.
