Three DSLRs to look for this fall

With fall, comes a scenery that is every photographer’s darling. This is also the time when shelves are filled with new arrivals. A lot of announcements were made earlier this year, and the promised products will hit the shelves now. But like always, not all of them are as exciting as the hype created around them. Only a few will leave a bold mark. We take a look at three cameras photographers will be crazy about or look forward to buying: a new Canon camera that features amazing burst speeds; the Nikon D750, featuring a tilting LCD screen and Wi-Fi; and another one from Samsung. These cameras are scheduled to be available for sale this fall. Let’s take a look at them in detail.

1.       Nikon D750

It’s been years since the arrival of the last D-series camera, the D700. So initially, it took many of us by surprise, for the camera was introduced without any updates between the last and next-to-last model. This camera boasts a tilting screen and Wi-Fi, making it the first full-frame DSLR to offer so. Notably, the camera is fetching good reviews everywhere.

In addition to the mentioned features, the image-quality changers have been introduced together, with an excellent battery life. Other additions: two SD card slots, dual-control wheels, and an extra second screen on the top. All these changes make this camera really fun and easy to use.

But the thing that makes the camera stand out is the incredible burst speed of 6.5 fps, a result of a small resolution, it seems. Overall, the camera is really a star of this year and will make a lot of shutterbugs happy.

 2.       Samsung NX1

This is another one in the race for the best mirrorless camera. There is no one distinguishing feature that can be brought to light. Everything seems to be based on technology that is already available. But still, a few things of note will be the backlit sensor and an extremely fast burst mode. Mirrorless cameras are generally faster than DSLRs, but a camera with a burst speed of 15 fps and an APS-C sensor is quite remarkable. It has not been done before. Other features include direct recording of 4K videos to the SD card. This is courtesy of the method Samsung has developed that keeps the resolution but compresses the file size. This too will be on cards, as soon as it is out.

 3.       Canon EOS 7D Mark II

It is hard to see a camera with an impressive burst speed that is priced as low as $2000, but the new Canon camera does just that.

It will be something sports photographers will be looking closely at. Also, street photographers, who often shoot moving subjects, will find it equally appealing. Apart from that, the camera also features a fast shutter speed of 1/8000th of a second. This camera also offers a 65-point autofocus system. This is obviously targeting sports shooters, but will be to the liking of other photographers as well.
