Look at the pretty colors...I would have dismissed these images as stills from some random windows screen saver, but after looking at this video I stand corrected.

Rob Turney makes these interesting light paintings that he calls refractographs. Sounds very sciency, I like it. It's basically capturing the reflection/refraction of light as its going through a translucent object. This tutorial shows you how to make your own trippy refractographs with stuff you probably have sitting around at home. You don't even need a lens do to it! What's cool about this is process is that Turney says that his images have little to none post-processing done. All the magic is done in camera.
