Happy Picasa Monday y'all. This week we're going to skip the usual bit, talk about DxO ratings and compare MTF charts. After that I'll go over my top 5 favorite selective coloring apps for iPhone.
Hyuk hyuk, I'm just messing with you. Not only is it the end of the week, it's Flickr Friday. Rejoice. Usually I try to give a small recap of what's going on, giving you the real deal/the scoop/the 411...but honestly it's been too nice out. One must distance themselves from the computer. Go outside and absorb the vitamin D. Have you gotten your daily dose today?
Oh right, I have to find an image for this week. Oh procrastination, you cruel and unyielding beast.
The image up top was made by RickyNJ, titled Red Rocks of Sedona. Dang those colors really pop. I'm sure a fair bit of effort was put into making them do that, but color theory does its own job here. Orange contrasts with blue all too well. If you ever looked at action movie posters you'll know what I mean. On top of that you have your natural the green keeping you grounded. Seriously nice tonality going on here!
This one is by Jamie MacDonald who titled this Replenish. He admits that there was a little bit of editing done, but still this image is pretty wild. I find it interesting to see a vertical composition of the ocean... it's not natural to sight or memory, thus people don't try it out as much. What's cool is that it makes kind of a stack of contrasting layers, especially thanks to the startling clouds and the wild crash of the water. You can almost taste the drama here. Kudos.
Bedebede that's all folks. If the week left you feeling like this, perhaps one of these are in order. Thanks for joining me on yet another majestic Flickr Friday. See you next week!
