Here at Unique Photo we offer a range of classes and excursions through our Unique University. The Unique University is our way to offer more education on photography and videography alike - whether that be pre-production, production, or post-production we offer a wide range of classes and excursions alike. These classes and excursions are held at both of our locations throughout the year, and can certainly inspire the creative photographer or videographer in anyone!
Understanding Your Camera
If you just bought your first camera, need an introduction to photography, or are getting back into photography - our Understanding Your Camera course is perfect for you! Our Understanding Your Camera Course is a three-class course, it's once a week for the duration of 3 weeks (typically in the same month). Our class Instructor goes over the basics, exposure and metering, as well as composition and shooting within those classes. With a speciality designed booklet with more information that is for every attendee is perfect to keep for reference since it is jam packed with tips, tricks, and even equipment recommendation.
Specialty Focus Classes
Perhaps you want a lesson on flash photography, or to shoot macro photography, or maybe just to get a better understanding of how to utilize your lighting setup in different ways. Unique University also offers specialty focus classes where an instructor will focus on different aspects of photography, videography, and editing alike. These are topics and artists that focus in certain areas of photography or videography and how they either utilize their equipment, or what they recommend someone can use to jumpstart their interest in the field.

Excursions and Photo Walks
If the lectures and smaller hands-on in classes isn’t your vibe - come to one of the Unique University Photo Walks, or Excursions! With our instructors of all levels of experience we have a large range of Photo Walks and Excursions that may interest you. Whether it be a Photo Walk in the scenic Old City Philadelphia, or a trip to the Bronx Zoo our instructors are packed with knowledge and tips to help you along the way.
Some of our Excursions are focused on certain types of photography (i.e. Slow Shutter, Light Painting, Street Photography, or Animal Photography) but all are welcome to attend and learn on the go. Excursions and Photowalks are hosted by Unique Photo and guided by an instructor from our team, or even sometimes featuring talented artists from outside Unique Photo. With the help of an amazing instructor, Unique Photo staff, and our featured artists, Unique University can spark some creativity in you and expand your journey with photography and videography alike.
