Intro to Image Editing in Adobe Photoshop with Joe Brady
    Instructor:
    Joe Brady
    Skill Level:
    Everyone

While Adobe Lightroom is an important place to start, there are many edits, enhancements and corrections that only Photoshop can accomplish. This series of classes will take you from the beginning with an introduction to Photoshop tools, but perhaps more importantly, provide you with a workflow to follow when starting an image edit.

You will learn all about the real power of Photoshop - layers, masks, blending modes, and selections - and how to put them to use with both Landscape/Nature and Portrait images. From basic image edits, to color corrections to reshaping, removing and individually editing selection in an image, Photoshop is limited only by your imagination once you learn how to approach your edits.

Four classes won't make you a master of everything Adobe Photoshop, but Joe's approach to teaching and using this software will provide you with a firm base that you can grow with and adapt to your image editing needs and desires.

    Includes 4 Wednesday evening classes:
    · Class One: April 25th (6:30pm - 8:00pm)
    · Class Two: May 2nd (6:30pm - 8:00pm)

Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) is a nonprofit art museum and gallery space located in Isaiah Zagar’s visionary art environment at 1020 South Street, Philadelphia, PA.

Spanning half a block, the museum includes an immersive outdoor art installation and indoor galleries. Zagar created the space using nontraditional materials such as folk art statues, found objects, bicycle wheels, colorful glass bottles, hand-made tiles, and thousands of glittering mirrors. The site is enveloped in visual anecdotes and personal narratives that refer to Zagar’s life, family, and community, as well as references from the wider world such as influential art history figures and other visionary artists and environments.

The property is rich with photographic subjects. There are wonderful opportunities for close-up and macro photography as well. Michael Downey will present a short, concise class on panoramic and close-up photography, and then we'll have some fun!

    *Limited to 20 attendees.
*Admission to PMG is included with registration.
*Please meet up with Michael at the front entrance.
