I have a Sigma UC 70-210mm f/4-5.6 zoom and want to know if it can be used on a Nikon D3100. Did Sigma make this lens in different mounts, and if so, will the Nikon version mount and work on the D3100?

I believe that this lens was offered with several different mounting options, so it depends which version you have.
That said... if you have the f mount model, then it should work.

Yes—if your Sigma UC 70-210mm f/4-5.6 is the Nikon F-mount version, it should mount on a Nikon D3100. Sigma sold many older lenses in several camera mounts, so the key is which mount your particular copy has. Check the lens mount or markings to confirm it is for Nikon F. If it is a different mount, it will not attach directly.
