Why won’t the Color Editor expand in Capture One Pro?

In Capture One Pro 11 on Windows 10, the Color Editor tool will not expand when I click it. If I add it as a floating tool, it appears but shows no active options. Other tools work normally. I’m editing Sony A6000 RAW files and haven’t changed any settings. What causes this, and how can I fix it?

Capture One has a minimum screen height of 800px. If there is not enough space Color editor cannot expand. To fix the problem you can do one of several things:
- Set your screen resolution to at least 800px in height, set text scaling to 100%.
- Drag the color editor tool so it is floating on screen.
- Remove extra tools from the color tab to give color editor more space.
The latter worked for me. Why the tools were inactive when the tool was floating I can't say, it now works.

This is usually a workspace/layout issue, not a RAW-file problem. In Capture One, the Color Editor needs enough vertical screen space to expand. If your display height is too limited, or Windows text scaling is making the UI larger, the tool may refuse to open or appear inactive.
