Why does my Pixel TW-282 trigger interval shooting on a Nikon D750?

When I connect a Pixel TW-282 remote shutter release to my Nikon D750, the camera starts shooting in repeated intervals on its own. This happens regardless of camera mode, and the camera’s built-in interval settings are turned off. I also noticed it happens even when the transmitter and receiver appear to be on different channels. Is this likely a camera setting I’m missing, a channel/setup issue, or a faulty remote/receiver that should be replaced under warranty?

After some attempts with the help of the folks here we came to a conclusion that it's not settings in the camera or the remote and I'll probably going to use my warranty and see what the store says. Thanks everyone!
