My Panasonic G7 shows flickering diagonal black stripes on parts of the live view while I’m framing a shot. The lines appear on the LCD, but the saved photo looks normal when viewed later on my computer. What are these stripes, and do they mean something is wrong with the camera or my exposure?

These are called "Zebra stripes" and basically warn you that using the current settings, the area they cover is going to be exposed over a certain threshold. This threshold is usually 100% (which means "clipped to white"), but this camera actually allows you to customise the levels - documented on page 220 of the user manual.
In this example, since exposure is evaluated for the desk and the things on it and since the laptop screen is in frame and far brighter than the other things, the camera warns you that it would overexpose the screen.

Those lines are zebra stripes, not a screen fault. They’re an exposure warning overlay shown in live view to mark areas that are very bright and may be overexposed.
On the G7, zebras usually indicate highlights reaching a chosen threshold, often around 100% (clipped white), though the warning level can be adjusted in the camera settings. In your example, a bright object like a laptop screen is much brighter than the rest of the scene, so the camera flags it.
Because zebras are only a display aid, they do not appear in the recorded image. If the final photo looks fine to you, nothing is wrong. If you want fewer warnings, you can lower exposure or change/disable the zebra setting in the camera menu.
