Two likely causes were suggested.

First, check whether a multi-shot/compositing mode was enabled. On the LX100, modes like iHDR, HDR, handheld night shot, or multi exposure can combine multiple frames and create ghosting if subjects move. Since you were in Full Auto, the camera may have selected one of these automatically. A full factory reset is a good first step.

Second, the pattern also fits a problem with image stabilization. If the stabilization system is malfunctioning—or if the shot is taken before stabilization settles—you can get strange partial double images, especially in low light and with moving subjects. Still subjects may look less affected, which matches what you saw.

A simple test: shoot handheld in low light with stabilization on, then off. If IS-off shots show normal continuous blur but IS-on shots show odd doubled/shifted blur, the stabilizer is the likely culprit.

So: reset the camera, verify HDR/multi-shot features are off, then test with stabilization on and off. If the issue remains, the camera may need service.
