I want to sell photo prints online, mainly to customers in Europe, especially Germany. Many recommendations I’ve found are focused on US-based services, so I’d prefer a provider based in Europe or one that offers reasonable shipping and support for European customers. Which services are worth considering?

Have you already visited darqroom? As far as I know, they're located in France.

I would just add I've already ordered some prints from their shop and I was quite satisfied with their customer services.

A few options mentioned for Europe are:

  • darqroom — based in France, so it may be a better fit for European fulfillment. One user also reported being satisfied with their print quality and customer service.
  • Oypo — recommended as a strong option, though availability outside the Netherlands was uncertain.
  • SmugMug — worth considering for its storefront features, but at the time discussed, prints were produced in the US and shipped to Europe, with plans for improved European service.

If your main audience is in Germany or elsewhere in Europe, a Europe-based lab or fulfillment partner is usually preferable because it can reduce shipping times, customs issues, and delivery costs. Based on the answers provided, darqroom seems the most directly relevant European option, with Oypo as another possible choice depending on country support. SmugMug may still be useful if its selling tools matter more to you than local fulfillment.
