Where can I buy a replacement rear LCD cover for a Canon camera?

The outer glass/plastic cover over the rear LCD on my Canon camera is cracked, but the LCD itself still works. A local shop said they can order the part and install it, but the total cost is high because of labor. If I want to replace just the protective cover myself, where can I look for the part, and are there any practical alternatives?

In the US, USCamera.com is a reputable supplier of a limited number of camera parts. I've purchased flash replacement parts from them without any issues.

If you want to try a DIY repair, a camera-parts supplier such as USCamera.com is one place to check in the US. For older models, eBay can also be useful, especially if you can find a donor camera with another fault and salvage the rear cover from it.
Be cautious when buying from marketplaces: many parts are used, so check photos and descriptions carefully. For newer cameras, replacement-part kits may also show up on large marketplaces like Amazon.
One practical alternative is to buy a cheap non-working donor body of the same or closely related model and swap the needed part. That can be easier and less expensive than paying shop labor, especially if the part is glued in place.
Before attempting it, confirm that the cracked piece is only the outer cover and not part of the LCD assembly, since some cameras use bonded parts that are harder to replace separately.
