I want to use Adobe lens correction profile (.lcp) files with RawTherapee and similar apps. After installing Lightroom/Photoshop on macOS, I couldn’t find the profiles in the usual Adobe support folders. Where does Adobe actually store these lens profile files on Mac and Windows?

On Windows, they can be found at:

X:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\Resources\LensProfiles\

On Mac, they should be here:

Applications/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom X/Right-click Show Package Contents/Resources/Lens Profiles

Adobe’s .lcp lens profiles are typically installed with Lightroom or Camera Raw, but their location depends on the app and OS.

Known locations from the community answers:

  • macOS Lightroom: open the Lightroom app package and look in: Applications/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom X → right-click → Show Package ContentsResources/Lens Profiles
  • Windows Lightroom: X:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\Resources\LensProfiles\
  • Windows Adobe Camera Raw: X:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\

So on macOS, the profiles may not appear under your user Library at all—they can be inside the Lightroom application bundle itself.

If a specific lens profile is not present, that usually means Adobe did not include it in that installed version, or it is not available through the older Lens Profile Downloader. Based on the answers provided, the downloader location/listing is not the reliable place to look; the installed application folders are.

If RawTherapee supports .lcp import, point it to those folders or copy the needed files from there.
