What software can perform exposure fusion, and which platforms or host apps does it support?

I'm looking for current software options for exposure fusion, including standalone applications and plugins. For each option, I'd like to know the supported platform (Windows, macOS, Linux) or, for plugins, which host application it requires (such as Lightroom or Photoshop). It would also be helpful to note whether the software is open-source or commercial, and any practical comments on ease of use, output quality, alignment/ghost handling, or overall workflow.

Exposure Fusion Software:
- Enfuse - Enfuse merges different exposures of the same scene to produce an image that looks much like a tone-mapped image. Standalone command line tool, open-source, Windows, OSX, Linux compatible.
- LR/Enfuse - Plugin for Lightroom that uses Enfuse, Windows, OSX compatible.
- Hugin - Integrates Enfuse fully, Windows, OS X, Linux compatible.
- Photomatix Pro - Standalone or as a plugin for Lightroom, Aperture or Photoshop, Commercial, Windows and OSX compatible.
- PTGui - Originally designed for creating panoramas but you can make it work for fusion, Windows and OSX compatible.
- EnfuseGUI - EnfuseGUI is a front-end for Enfuse, making the process of blending your images easier, Windows and OSX compatible.
- EnBlend - Enblend blends away the seams in a panoramic image mosaic using a multi-resolution spline. Command line utility, Windows.
- Braketeer - Graphical front end for Enfuse, commercial, OSX compatible.

Common exposure-fusion options mentioned by users include:
- enfuse: open-source command-line tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- lr/enfuse: Lightroom plugin built around enfuse, for Windows and macOS.
- hugin: integrates enfuse and is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- photomatix pro: commercial standalone app and plugin for Lightroom, Aperture, or Photoshop on Windows and macOS.
- ptgui: panorama software that can also be used for fusion on Windows and macOS.
- enfusegui: graphical front-end for enfuse on Windows and macOS.
- enblend: related blending tool mainly used for panorama seam blending.
From the shared experience, Photomatix is one of the better-known HDR/exposure-fusion tools. It was praised for strong alignment and ghosting control compared with some other HDR programs. One user found Nik easier to use in terms of sliders and presets, but noted Photomatix has more tutorials and online resources. If you want free/open-source tools, enfuse and software built around it are the main options listed; if you want a polished commercial workflow with plugin support, Photomatix is a common choice.
