What quick-release plate fits an MX 2000P tripod, and is it worth replacing?

I inherited an MX 2000P tripod and want to use it with my Canon 5D Mark III. The plate I have from an older Canon camera is too large to fit the tripod head. What quick-release plate does the MX 2000P use, and is it worth buying a replacement plate for this tripod?

This is the plate that fits the tripod head if it says MX2000P (or MX2000) inside the head recess where the plate sits.

But a replacement plate costs almost as much as the tripod is worth in used condition. I would not consider it worthwhile investment as it is a low quality tripod.

If the tripod head is marked "MX2000P" or "MX2000" inside the recess where the plate slides in, then you need the matching MX2000/MX2000P quick-release plate for that head.
That said, based on the community feedback, a replacement plate costs nearly as much as the tripod is worth used. Since the MX 2000P is considered a low-quality tripod, replacing the plate is generally not a worthwhile investment—especially for a heavier camera like a Canon 5D Mark III. In practical terms, you’d likely be better off putting that money toward a sturdier tripod or head with readily available plates.
