I picked up a Vivitar 75-205mm lens and I’m trying to identify its mount. The seller said it was for Nikon, but it doesn’t look like a Nikon F mount with rabbit ears. This lens has two opposing buttons/levers on the side of the mount. Does anyone recognize what mount this is?

I believe this is an Olympus OM mount lens. The lens release button and aperture stop-down button opposing each other are a dead giveaway. Also, unless I'm mistaken, the engraved lettering in the first picture says something like "for O/OM"... ?

Based on the mount features described, this is most likely an Olympus OM mount, not Nikon F. The two opposing controls on the mount are characteristic of OM lenses: one is the lens release interface and the other is the aperture stop-down control. That layout is a strong visual clue for Olympus OM. If the engraving on the lens also says something like “for OM,” that further confirms it. Nikon F mounts do not use this same arrangement, so the seller’s identification was probably incorrect.
