In a review on The Digital Picture, the sample photos appear to use a very low-to-the-ground tripod with an Acratech GV2 ball head. I’m trying to identify the tripod legs used there, and I’d also like recommendations for similar or better tripods for very low-angle shooting and travel.

It's a Really Right Stuff tripod; I think it's the Ground Level Tripod.
