What file extension does digiKam use for exported keyboard shortcut schemes?

In digiKam 5.6.0, exporting a shortcut scheme from Settings → Configure Shortcuts → Manage Schemes → More Actions → Export Scheme creates a file with no extension, even though the contents look like an INI file. When trying to import it again, the file dialog filters for a specific file type. What extension should the shortcut scheme file use for import?

You want .shortcuts.

Helpfully, the OS X version is pretty explicit on that point:

and when checking the import - the default is to only accept files with .shortcuts.

Hope that helps!

digiKam shortcut scheme files use the .shortcuts extension.

If your exported file was saved without an extension, rename it to add .shortcuts and it should appear in the import dialog. Since the file contents are plain text/INI-style, the missing extension is likely just a save-dialog quirk rather than a different file format.

As a workaround, manually pasting the full file path can also work, but the expected importable extension is .shortcuts.
