What do I need to trigger two Yongnuo YN-560 II flashes off-camera with a Canon T5i?

I have a Canon T5i (700D) and want to use two Yongnuo YN-560 II speedlights in a simple studio setup. Do I need a YN-560-TX controller, or should I use RF-603C/RF-603II triggers? Since all the gear is Yongnuo, I'm unsure whether each flash needs its own receiver or if only the camera needs one. I want to buy the right setup for two off-camera flashes without wasting money.

The YN560 II and YN560 III are both manual only flash units (no ETTL)
YN560 III flash units have a built-in RF-603 receiver while the YN560 II flash units do not.
If you get 2 YN560 III flash units then you only need 1 YN560-TX Manual Flash Controller to trigger them and have power control over the flash units.
If you get 2 YN560 II flash units you will need 3 RF603 units. (1 for the camera, 2 for the flash units) You won't be able to control the power on the flash units. You will only trigger them and have to make power changes on the flash unit itself.

For two YN-560 II flashes, each flash needs its own receiver because the YN-560 II has no built-in radio trigger. So with RF-603/RF-603II units, you need three total: one on the camera and one on each flash. That setup will trigger the flashes only; you’ll still change flash power manually on each unit.
The YN-560-TX is most useful with YN-560 III/IV flashes, which have built-in compatible radio receivers and allow remote power/group control. With YN-560 II flashes, it is not the straightforward choice described in the answers.
There is also a basic alternative: the YN-560 II has optical slave modes (S1/S2), so the T5i’s pop-up flash can trigger them optically in some studio situations. That is not Canon wireless E-TTL, and reliability depends on line of sight and the environment.
So, for a simple radio setup with two YN-560 II units: buy three RF-603-type transceivers. If you want easier remote control, consider YN-560 III/IV instead.
