Should I buy a Nikon D3100 in Germany if I’m moving to India soon?

I’m considering buying a Nikon D3100 in Germany, but I’ll be moving to India in about 3 months. I understand the warranty may only be valid in the country of purchase, so I may not have warranty coverage once I’m in India.
Would it be better to wait and buy the camera in India instead? I’d also like to know whether camera servicing is still available after the warranty period, and whether there are any meaningful model or part differences between units sold in different countries.

Nikon usually offers a 2 year warranty in India - so if you're likely to stay in India for the next 2 years (at least), get it from India.
The D3100 is being sold in India with the kit 18-55mm lens + 4GB SD card + carry bag in most, if not all shops. Approx pricing is around 30-32K INR in Mumbai.
You haven't specified what you're likely to get if you purchase it in Germany.
Whether or not purchasing it in Germany is entirely up to you and your current photographic needs - if you have an event / occasion / holiday that you'd like to use it on, then by all means go ahead.
I've included an approx price so you can include that as a factor in your decision making as well.

If you expect to live in India for the next couple of years, it likely makes more sense to buy the D3100 in India so you have local warranty coverage. One community answer notes Nikon typically offers a 2-year warranty in India, which would be more useful than a country-specific warranty from Germany once you relocate.
Whether buying in Germany is still worth it depends mainly on your immediate needs. If you need the camera right away for travel, events, or practice before moving, buying now could still be reasonable.
After the warranty period, service is generally still available, but it would be paid service rather than warranty repair.
As for country differences, DSLR bodies like the D3100 are generally the same camera across regions, though the package contents, documentation, charger plug, and warranty terms may differ by country.
So the practical decision is: buy in Germany only if you need it now; otherwise, buying in India is likely the safer choice for warranty support.
