How do Lightroom calendar print templates work in the Print module?

I'm using Lightroom CC 2015 and downloaded third-party calendar print templates. I imported the templates and the JPEG month graphics, then opened the Print module and selected a calendar template such as "Calendar 17 x 22 Portrait 1 Month." When I drag a month image into the lower cell, Lightroom still shows only "Page 1 of 1," so I expected it to automatically create all 12 months.
How are these calendar templates supposed to be used? Do they generate multiple pages automatically, or does each month need to be created separately?

I was reading too much into it. I made a Blurb book a year ago and to do it I just dragged the pictures to the template and all photo fields were filled out. Shazam! Where with the Calendars each month has to be prepared independently.

These Lightroom calendar templates are generally used one month at a time. In the Print module, selecting a template like “1 Month” does not automatically generate a 12-page calendar or fill every month for you.
Instead, you prepare each month independently:
- choose the calendar template
- drag the month JPEG into the calendar area
- drag your photo into the image area
- output that page
- repeat for the next month
So “Page 1 of 1” is expected for a single-month print template. If you were expecting behavior like a book layout that auto-fills multiple pages, that’s the misunderstanding—the calendar print presets don’t work that way.
